🌿 Open Farm Day at Cob
This Sunday, we welcome you to a special Open Farm Day at Cob—a day for getting to know us, connecting with us, and supporting our project.
We invite you to join us for a kick-off event dedicated to soil health, as well as to get a firsthand look at our educational program for children, “The Children of the Plain.”
🌍 Participation in the ECHO Project
As ambassadors of the European research project ECHO Horizon Europe, coordinated in Greece by the American Farm School, we invite you to take part in a pilot soil sampling activity.
The goal is to contribute to the creation of a pan-European soil health map.
ECHO places citizens at the heart of science, empowering everyone to actively participate in understanding, protecting, and restoring soil health — one of the most vital foundations of life on Earth.
During the day, there will be:
- An introduction to the project
- A demonstration on how to use soil testing kits
By registering on the ECHO platform, you can receive your own soil testing kit and contribute to this important data network.

At the end of the event, participants from the Larissa area will have the opportunity to receive a free soil testing kit and apply it in locations of their choice, whether rural or peri-urban.
🌱 “Children of the Plain” – Nature-Based Education
At the same time, our outdoor learning program for children, “Children of the Plain,” will be running.
We invite families to join a hands-on experience in nature — through play, exploration, and meaningful connection with the environment.
During the day, you will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about nature-based pedagogy
- Get to know the program
- Discuss our upcoming Easter camp

- A guided tour of the farm
- A small shop with our products
- Farm-prepared food
- Time at our cooperative traditional café

- 10:45 – 12:00 Open farm tour
- 12:00 – 13:00 Soil sampling presentation & demonstration
- 12:00 – 14:00 “Children of the Plain” program
- 13:00 – 14:00 Farm product shop
- 14:00 Shared meal at the farm
- 14:30 Live music at Café “Rizes” (reservation required)
