In the district of Palea in Volos, a protected area by the Greek Committee for ancient ruins, we completed the building of a contemporary urban house that has a wooden structural frame and the walls have been made with the straw&clay building technique. The owner and architect, Vana Georgala, apart from the quality of life that she was seeking by living in a house like this, wishes to bring back to the fore of modern architecture, materials and building techniques that have a long tradition in the region of Thessalia and have been forgotten, through a contemporay approach of bioclimatic architecture.
